Technology Features of the 2022 Wagoneer

Presented by Len Stoler Dodge Chrysler Jeep

First brought into the Jeep lineup in 1963, the Wagoneer quickly became recognized as the most capable and luxurious vehicle in its class right up until its discontinuation in 1991. After 30 years, the Wagoneer is returning to the production line and will roll out in the same way it did many years ago! While the Wagoneer presents itself with a classic look, it stays ahead of its time with modern design and futuristic technology. Uconnect 5 is used in the all-new Wagoneer models, the fastest, most advanced infotainment software. Read below to learn more about all the advanced technology the Wagoneer will bring!

What is Uconnect 5?

If it’s what’s on the inside that counts, we’ll start with the software. The Uconnect 5 system will be displayed on a 10.1-inch touchscreen in the Wagoneer, and a 12-inch touchscreen in the Grand Wagoneer strategically placed on the center console for easy access for both driver and front passenger. One of our favorite things about Uconnect 5 is its customizability. In addition to a fully customizable home screen, Uconnect 5 will have five available user profiles to memorize climate control preferences, music preferences, seat position, mirror position, and more, all at the push of a button. The Wagoneer also uses wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to keep the center consoles neat and tidy design free of wires. If a Wagoneer owner has an Amazon Alexa device, they can use the Alexa ‘home to car’ function to start the car remotely from your in-home Alexa device and make a to-do list, check the weather, and more from inside the car. Uconnect 5 will also feature 4G LTE WiFi for up to eight devices, dual Bluetooth connectivity, TomTom navigation, voice recognition, and much more. There is also a Uconnect 5 mobile app which syncs to your Wagoneer for even more connectivity. Available on the upper-most Grand Wagoneer trim levels is a 10.25-inch touchscreen for the front passenger.

What is the Sound System Like?

The Wagoneer designers worked closely with McIntosh, a luxury home audio brand, to create a premium audio experience for every occupant. Available on the Wagoneer Series III and the Standard on the Grand Wagoneer is the McIntosh MX950 sound system. The Wagoneer uses 19 speakers that include a 10-inch subwoofer. The Grand Wagoneer has a total of 23 speakers. The system has been meticulously crafted to provide an immersive sound experience.

What is the Driver Information Display?

Behind the steering wheel is a 10.25-inch frameless digital screen with almost two dozen menu options. Driver’s of the 2022 Wagoneer can have a traditional look with a digital speedometer and odometer between analog RPM and MPH displays. You can also find turn-by-turn navigation, blindspot monitoring warnings, lane departure warning, speed limit, adaptive cruise control, tire pressure monitoring, media, caller ID, and more all right in front of you behind the wheel. The driver’s display can also be projected onto the windshield, allowing drivers to keep their eyes on the road.
