Quadra-Trac I 4×4 System
The Quadra-Trac I 4×4 system delivers optimum traction by operating in a full-time high-range mode. The system delivers confident all-weather traction by balancing torque distribution with brake lock differential and four-wheel brake traction control systems. The center differential splits the power by sending 48% to the front axle and 52% to the rear axle. The simplicity of the single-speed transfer delivers all-weather traction with no driver input needed.
Quadra-Trac II 4×4 System
The full-time active Quadra-Trac II 4×4 system functions in 4×4 mode until additional traction is needed. When a loss of traction is detected the system reacts by electronically engaging the clutch pack to transfer up to 100% of torque to either axle. To deliver confident all-weather traction the 4×4 system works with Brake Lock Differential and Four-Wheel Brake Traction Control Systems. The Quadra-Trac II system uses a two-speed transfer case with torque management and 2.72:1 low range. The 4 Low mode locks front and rear driveshafts for low-speed power for rock crawling and towing. For controlled crawling over rocks and off-road obstacles, the system uses a 44.1:1 crawl ratio. The available Selec-Terrain Traction Management System includes auto, sport, snow, sand/mud modes. The system also comes equipped with a neutral mode for available flat towing behind a recreational vehicle.
