What powertrain does the 2018 Jeep Compass utilize?

The 2018 Jeep Compass runs on a proven 2.4-liter MultiAir Tigershark engine which makes 180 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. If you get a 4x4 version, a class-exclusive 9-speed automatic transmission will be inside, while a 6-speed automatic transmission is found in most 4x2 models. There is also a manual 6-speed transmission for either 4x2 and 4x4 models if you prefer that instead. Also channeling the power of the Compass is Jeep Active Drive Low, which has an exceptional 20:1 crawl ratio and a 5-mode Jeep Selec-Terrain system (on Trailhawk) for best-in-class off-road performance. These helpful Modes are Auto, Snow, Sand, and Mud-- all standard on any 4x4 Compass, while the Trailhawk trim adds a Rock Mode. All models besides the Trailhawk use Jeep Active Drive, which is a full-time 4x4 system, while the Trailhawk uses an expanded version of that called Jeep Active Drive Low.

Can you overview the features of the 2018 Jeep Compass?

For 2018, the all-new Jeep Compass lineup is represented by four models: the Sport, Latitude, Limited, and Trailhawk (4x4-only). All models have, as standard, a capless fuel filler, a 13.5-gallon gas tank, quad halogen headlamps, "Jeep"-, "4x4"-, and "Compass"-badging, a daytime running light system, and on the roof, you will find a removable short mast antenna. The Limited model sees a single rear exhaust with dual bright tip, while the other models' exhaust tips are hidden. There are eleven possible colors to choose from for the exterior, some of which include Redline Red Pearl Coat, Bright White Tri-Coat, Laser Blue Pearl Coat, as well as a Rhino Clear Coat for the Limited and Trailhawk models only. Standard on the inside of all models is a push-button start, a rear cargo underfloor tray, a 3-position height-adjustable load floor, handles for rear passengers and the driver for assistance, a rear seat armrest, an Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) with its controls on steering wheel, a temperature display within the odometer, dual 12-volt auxiliary power outlets, and speed-sensitive power door locks. Further details on the interior continue in the technology department with several options, either standard or as part of a package. Some models will not allow certain package features to be added, but there is plenty of options regardless to suit your needs. All models see Integrated Voice Command with Bluetooth, 6-speakers, and a Media Hub. Options you may want to look into would be in the UConnect and SiriusXM areas.
