The 2018 Dodge Challenger is extremely versatile with seven trim levels and multiple sub-trims to choose from. The GT steps it up as being the only Challenger with all-wheel drive. Which engines go with which model?
Five engines are available to the 2018 Dodge Challenger lineup. The SXT and GT models have a 3.6-liter V6 with 305 horsepower and a fuel economy of 30 mpg. This engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic. The R/T and T/A have the 5.7-liter V8 paired with either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic, reaching up to 375 horsepower. The R/T Scat Pack, the 392 Hemi Scat Pack Shaker, the T/A 392, and the SRT 392 all have the 6.4-liter V8 with 485 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. The SRT Hellcat comes with a 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, 6.2-liter supercharged V8 and the 840 horsepower on the SRT Demon with up to 770 lb-ft of torque. This engine has the option of a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic.
