2017 Chrysler 300 at Len Stoler Dodge Chrysler Jeep for Westminster, MD

The Chrysler 300 gently purrs its way over the tough roads, yet has the strength and capability of a sports car! Fresh for 2017 items include a Ceramic Gray exterior color choice, some augmentation to the tuning of the 300S model (plus both ventilated & heated seats), and the sibling Exterior and Interior Sport Appearance Packages. The Ceramic Gray exterior on the 300S model takes an understated approach in order to stand out, and it pays off, looking like a svelte shadow on the roads. The cabin of the 300 is near-silent due to road noise buffering. The Chrysler 300 has, as standard, the Uconnect system (4th-gen) for smartphone integration, with either Apple CarPlay or Android Auto as options.

Under the 300's Hood

Owners of the 300 can select one of two drive systems, with the available one in the form of all-wheel drive (for all trims) and the standard choice being rear-wheel drive. The standard RWD 300S model gets a custom steering calibration, LED foglights, and has a sport-tuned suspension. There are two engines that are possible for the Chrysler 300, and the first one mentioned here is the 3.6L Pentastar V-6 variable-valve timing (VVT) engine goes with 292 horsepower (as standard) and churns 260 lb-ft of torque. The second one is the 5.7L HEMI V-8 engine with VVT (and an interactive deceleration fuel shut-off), which manufactures 363 horsepower and gets to 394 lb-ft of torque. An 8-speed automatic transmission fits either engine. On Chrysler 300S models that are RWD, there are performance-tuned steering and bushings, larger sway bars (with V8 engine), a performance-tuned suspension with increased spring rates, and three-season tires by Goodyear Eagle F1. Any 2017 model is available with an amazing AWD system that excels above the rest in the current mid-size sedan market. This AWD system makes use of an active transfer case and a front-axle-disconnect function as it switches and manages the power between all- and rear-wheel drive by itself as required by the demands of the road.

Design of Chrysler 300

In 2017, there are four models for the Chrysler 300, titled the 300 Limited, 300C, 300S, and the 300C Platinum. Android Auto gets Google voice search, Google Maps, and Google Play Music into the Uconnect 8.4-inch touchscreen (with steering-wheel mounted control). Apple CarPlay parallels this function for iPhone users and connects to Apple Maps, phone, Apple Messages, and Apple Music via Siri Voice control (or with the Uconnect 8.4-inch). The newest generation of the Uconnect system allows performance features like a short startup period, fast power processing, and HD for sharp images. The 8.4-inch touchscreen with navigation enables multi-touch gestures like pinch, swipe, and tap. Standard on the 300C Platinum (300C available) is a subwoofer coupled to a 900-watt amp, playing into a 19-speaker combo (Harman Kardon Audio Group). The Uconnect System also easily guides smartphone integrations as standard on all 2017 Chrysler 300 trims. The 300C Platinum model has a sport mode with paddle shifters, singular Platinum Chrome touches, French accent-stitching, quilted Nappa leather seats and door panels, dual-tone Indigo/Linen interiors (Black is available too), 20-inch polished-aluminum wheels, hand-sanded and natural-pore wood, and a unique chrome accent halo within the leather-wrapped steering wheel. The Alloy Edition Package is debuted in 2017 and looks supremely impressive on the 300S trim, due to its blacked-out exterior, black Nappa leather with Stitching in a caramel color, and Dark Bronze accenting.

The standard items for safety in the Chrysler 300 for 2017 are composed of electronic stability control, rain brake support, hill-start assist, ready alert braking, and head restraints. The 300 keeps going with a display for tire pressure monitoring, a Sentry Key theft deterrent system, a security alarm, and a ParkView rear backup camera. An election on most 300 models is a SafetyTec Plus package that has Full-speed Forward Collision Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control-Plus with Full Stop, Blind-spot Monitoring, Advanced Brake Assist, a Lane Keep Assist that integrates with the LaneSense Lane Departure Warning, and Rear Cross Path Detection. That's a lot of car for the money, and you will be glad you checked out this car in your ongoing search. Why not pop by here at Len Stoler Dodge Chrysler Jeep and go out for a spin in one with us?
